Letter from the Millers Creek PTO
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your families to Millers Creek Elementary School. We are very excited about the 2023-2024 school year and cannot wait for all the new things in store. The PTO is an organization consisting of parents and teachers with the common goal of helping and strengthening our school, which strengthens the growth and development of our students. We also promote a school community where teachers, administrators, and staff are safe and can do their best work with the resources we help to provide.

 

Our focus this year is to rebuild our volunteer base and continue our fundraising efforts to assist with school improvements. Through our fundraising efforts, the PTO is able to give funds to purchase educational materials and equipment, sponsor special school programs, and organize community events. For the PTO to be effective, it is essential to have parental involvement. We want to offer ALL the opportunity to be involved in our school. Research
shows that students whose parents/guardians are involved in their education have better grades, fewer discipline problems, and also have an increase in self-confidence. We promise the time you give our students, staff, and PTO will be a very rewarding experience.

Carta del PTO de Millers Creek

Nos gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para darle la bienvenida a usted y a su familia a la Escuela Primaria Millers Creek. Estamos muy entusiasmados con el año escolar 2023-2024 y no podemos esperar por todas las cosas nuevas que nos esperan. El PTO es una organización formada por padres de familia y maestros con el objetivo común de ayudar y fortalecer a nuestra escuela, lo que fortalece el crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestros estudiantes. También promovemos una comunidad escolar donde los maestros, los administradores y el personal estén seguros y puedan hacer su trabajo mejor con los recursos que ayudamos a proporcionar.

 

Nuestro enfoque este año es reconstruir nuestra base de voluntarios y continuar nuestros esfuerzos de recaudación de fondos para ayudar con las mejoras escolares. A través de nuestros esfuerzos de recaudación de fondos, el PTO puede dar fondos para comprar materiales y equipos educativos, patrocinar programas escolares especiales y organizar eventos comunitarios. 

 

Para que el PTO sea eficaz, es esencial contar con la participación de los padres. Queremos ofrecer a TODOS la oportunidad de participar en nuestra escuela. Las investigaciones muestran que los estudiantes cuyos padres/tutores están involucrados en su educación tienen mejores calificaciones, menos problemas de disciplina y también tienen una mayor confianza en sí mismos. Prometemos que el tiempo que le dé a nuestros estudiantes, personal y PTO será una experiencia muy gratificante.
